View disk groups

A disk group is a collection of hard drives within the storage array that share the same performance characteristics.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Storage > Storage Resource.
  3. Select an SRP and click the number next to Disk Groups in the Details panel to open the Disk Groups list view.

    The following properties display:

    • Name—Name of disk group ; format is : number -- name.
    • Type—Technology type for the disk group
    • Speed (RPM)—Disk speed
    • Usable Capacity (GB)—Usable Capacity
    • Vendor—Disk vendor
    • Disk Location—Disk location
  4. Select a disk group and click An icon showing the letter i to view its details (see View disk group details).
